About

A community grade for the most-watched red carpet of the year.

ratethemet is an independent project — a place to score every look from the Met Gala, talk through the choices, and watch a community leaderboard form in real time. Scores run from 1 to 10. One vote per person per look. You can change your vote whenever you want.

The site launches around the 2026 gala ("Fashion Is Art," May 4) and lives permanently as the archive of the night. The 2025 archive ("Tailored for You" / Superfine: Tailoring Black Style) is already up so you can practice on the looks that ate.

We're not affiliated with The Metropolitan Museum of Art or Condé Nast. Photographs of looks are sourced from licensed Getty embeds. If something looks off, tell us.

How scoring works

Each look gets a single number from 1 to 10. Averages display once a look has at least one vote; the leaderboard requires five.
